Congratulations on being one of my favorites!
I also received the "One Lovely Blog" Award from Melissa at ChinDeep and I am truly honored. As part of this award I must share some things about myself then pass on this award to five (5) bloggers, who must do the same.
Caring, Honest, Organized, Responsible, Trustworthy, Generous, Creative, Fun Loving (ok that's 8 but who can describe themselves with only 7 adjectives?)
What keeps you up at night?
Menopause. Seriously! I am one of those people that used to hit the pillow and "Good Night Irene!". Now, I wake up anywhere from 2am-4am sweating my arse off! And for those that don't know me personally, I am only 44. Yes I know, I'm young but it's still happening. :)
Who would you like to be?
I don't think I would want to be anyone else. I didn't have an easy life growing up but it certainly has made me into the kind of person I am today and I wouldn't change a thing.
What scares you?
Oh there are a few things that scare me but one of them is failing. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist even though I know that "perfection" is impossible to attain. I am my own worst critic so I am constantly striving to learn something new or perfect something that I have already set out to do. It may take a while, but that's ok, I'll get there eventually.
What are the best and worst things about blogging?
The Best things about blogging are
1. Having an outlet that lets me share my creativity and passion for cooking with all of you on a daily basis.
2. That one day, my children will see that you can do anything if you set your mind to do something.
3. The wonderful people I've met and interacted with since starting this blog. It's not every day you can talk to so many people with similar interests all in one place.
The Worst things about blogging are:
1. My family can't eat their dinner until I get "just the right picture" :)
2. I spend entirely too much time "connected". To my computer, my iPhone, my blog. I would just love to have more hours in a day to be able to talk to everyone each day, but I realize I can't. I need to step back once in while and remember that there is an entirely different world for me outside of blogging. Family. Friends. House. Outside/Fresh air! lol
3. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day of blogging without having any goals or forgetting what the original goal is/was. I need to step back every now and then to review the progress of my goals and evaluate my progress or even if they are achievable or attainable.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Flexibility. If I get something stuck in my head, it's like tunnel vision. I am a planner and if things don't go according my plan, I shut down.

Slankets, yes or no?
I had to Google it as I didn't know what it was and DEFINITELY NO!

Tell us something about the person who tagged you…
Melissa from ChinDeep is the author of two books, “Chin Deep in Bubbles- Little Luxuries for Every Day,” which was published in 2001, and “Welcome Home – Tips For Turning Your Home Into a Luxurious Retreat,” which was published in 2004 and is currently working on a tea book, her newest endeavor. Not only is she an amazing home chef, she is a talented artist and photographer and recently created a Facebook page to showcase some of her talents, Melissa Placzek Photography.
I just love her blog. It has many wonderful assets including healthy recipes, bath and beauty tips, arts and craft projects, and movie, book or wine reviews to name a few. You can always find Melissa on Facebook, always posting positive comments on numerous pages throughout the week and she, more often than not, is one of the first people to greet me each morning.
I’m passing on this tag onto the following 5 bloggers. I would love to pass this on to more but I have to leave some for others to choose. I also didn't want to tag some that has already been tagged. Pass it on!
